International Online Symposium 2025 of the Society for Biofactors

On October 25, 2025, the Society for Biofactors (GfB) hosted its international online symposium.

This year’s topic:
Metabolic Syndrome – Focus on Biofactors
Scientific Insights and Practical Recommendations

What it’s all about:
What role do essential biofactors such as vitamins, minerals, and trace elements play in connection with the metabolic syndrome? How do biofactors influence key factors and symptoms of the metabolic syndrome, including insulin resistance, lipid metabolism disorders, hypertension, and obesity? What impact does lifestyle have on the progression of the metabolic syndrome and the development of related diseases?

Renowned international experts addressed these and other questions at the 15th GfB Online Symposium. Participants enjoyed exciting presentations, the latest scientific findings, and practical recommendations for their daily work.

This event was made possible with the support of Wörwag Pharma GmbH & Co. KG and the GANZIMMUN Academy. The program and presentations were product-neutral, scientifically balanced, and completely free from any influence by the sponsors on the speakers or the content.

At the end of the GfB Symposium, the 11th Dr. Fritz-Wörwag Research Prize 2024/2025 was presented, honoring outstanding scientific work in the field of biofactors. The award winners were selected by an independent scientific jury.
